Alister MacKenzie

The doctor from Leeds who built Cypress Point, Augusta National, Royal Melbourne and Pasatiempo, and wrote the thirteen principles that still define good design. MacKenzie wanted courses that were beautiful, natural-looking, and interesting for every level of golfer; his greens are the boldest of the Golden Age and his bunkers were drawn to look like clouds.
