A Dick Wilson apprentice who became one of the most dramatic shapers of his generation, moving earth on a scale nobody in Florida had tried: mounds, ridges and amphitheatre greens on ground that had been dead flat. With Bruce Devlin he built the Doral courses, Emerald Dunes and much of the Palm Beach coast; the Blue Monster is the best known.
